What a wonderful time we had in Lahore, Pakistan! And what a special nation it is in the heart of God.
The first Gospel night made a profound impression on us. The crowd was small, but heaven was in our midst. It rained miracles and people were saved. One young man felt how God pushed him when the altar call was made. He was a drunkard but surrendered his life to the Lord that night. Over the next days we kept seeing people coming to the Lord with great conviction, confessing they had lived bad lives but now were going to follow the Lord.
Tumors disappeared, headaches vanished. An old man who suffered from a form of paralysis in his leg and had been in and out of the hospital for quite some time, testified in tears how Jesus had healed him. 3 women with the issue of blood, all suffering for more than a year were healed. The driver of our van who had bad eyesight since 6 months, discovered after the meeting that he did not need his glasses anymore. Hallelujah!
Apart from the meetings we saw miracles take place wherever we went. One night after the meeting when having dinner, the host of the house brought in his brother, a drug addict, suffering from AIDS and hepatitis. After praying for him, the young man was touched by the power of God. Then, his father, a drug dealer, was brought into the house. I prayed for him and felt the Holy Spirit touching him. The next day he showed up in the meeting and said he was going to change his life.
Just before heading to the airport for our return flight, we were brought into a church where our dear friends and hosts Pastor Stephen and Maria King had gathered 40 drug addicts. All of them raised their hands when I asked who wanted to be saved. Praise the Lord! Upon arriving home, we heard how 25 of them will soon be baptized. What a fruitful trip!
